Studio Owner

Liz Hay

Hi, I am Liz Hay and I first discovered barre3 after I had my first child and knew that there was a need for a boutique fitness studio that offered child care for busy parents. I introduced barre3 to Massachusetts for the first time when I opened my studio in 2014 in Needham, MA. I am a certified yogi, and I look to incorporate my love of yoga into all my classes. There is something magical about turning that music on and all moving together. We work to balance our bodies and empower ourselves from within in every single class. My background is in both the fitness and activewear industries: Prior to becoming a barre3 owner, I worked for lululemon for eight years, opening the Burlington location as well as showrooms along on the East Coast. My deep love for my community and desire to create a welcoming and supportive atmosphere is my primary goal at barre3 Needham. Outside the studio, my focus is on raising my two boys alongside my husband George and having fun with our sweet bullmastiff, Harley.

barre3 Needham | Barre Classes in Needham Center

Barre3 Needham sits on Great Plain Avenue in the heart of Needham Center, a few doors from the independent kitchens that anchor downtown, including the legendary Sweet Basil. A few miles to the northeast, Cutler Park spreads across the largest freshwater marsh on the middle Charles, its Blue Heron Trail carrying walkers and runners over boardwalks through the wetland. The commuter rail station sits just north of the studio for an easy ride into Boston. Stop in before a morning on the marsh boardwalks, or keep barre3 in your weekly rotation.

Our barre3 Needham studio offers three classes that complement each other across your week. Barre3 Signature blends strength, cardio, and mindfulness into one complete full-body workout, using the barre, core ball, and weights to build strength, increase flexibility, and sharpen balance. B3 Strength is the deeper muscle work—heavier weights and slow, deliberate movement that builds the kind of strength you feel in your everyday life. B3 Cardio brings the heat—a high-energy, full-body push that leaves you feeling accomplished and clear-headed, not wiped out. You'll leave feeling stronger and more capable than when you walked in. Every fitness level is welcome.
