Hi there
I was introduced to Barre3 last summer during my annual family vacation to Bend...unfortunately there is nothing like this program in this area...I take quite a variety of classes 6 days a week at a local gym and love it but I have been craving this program...so Ive decided to try your online classes...I have missed it so much that I feel like a kid in a candy store with so many options and choices to choose from. So for the next month I look forward to my 28 to great challenge while changing up my fitness routine.

Hi Sadie, your toes seem to stay curled up when doing squats with feet flat on the ground but the other girls don't I notice, is there a reasoning behind this?

@Jackie: So glad you are liking the workouts. It's important to avoid active flexion of the spine during core work (anything resembling a crunch). Focus instead on smaller movements using the legs while those muscles mend. Keep the abdominals drawn in and work to stabilize the low back and pelvis. You may need to also avoid plank for a while. Just remember, everything can be modified and this is a great time for you to really listen to your body.

@Dayna: We love put high reps at barre3 too! Balance is the key here, though, and we can't neglect other areas of the body. Try finding ways to go deeper on those days you want a little more. Maybe that is reaching your arms longer or pressing your feet harder into the floor. We love finding imaginary resistance to challenge the body in new ways.

Amazing workout. This is the second time I did this one, and I don't know why, but for some reason I didn't think that I liked it the first time around and continued to do my favorite 60 and 40 minute workouts. Today, I was in the mood for more variety and tried it again and it's now my new favorite. I love the diamond seat work and the way Sadie prepared us to do the book ab work out (she had us imprint our backs, and then we moved the small from hands to feet), which is my favorite ab workout. Thank you Barre3, for continuously challenging my body!

I love Sadie's multi-tasking in all the workouts! I've only been doing mybarre3 for six weeks, but already it's funny to think that I spent all those years going to classes at the gym where we did just squats alone, and then stood still to do bicep curls, and then lunges, etc. When we target several muscle groups at a time in mybarre3 work, it diffuses and disperses the intense discomfort of any single muscle group while seeming to multiply the benefits!
